Wine Tour

Kraków – Wrocław – Zielona Góra

*To make your experience even more special plan your stay during the Wine Festival in Zielona Góra taking place in the first or second week of September each year and lasting for 9 days.

DAY 1 – Arrival in Krakow and transfer to the hotel. Check-in. Visit to Srebrna Góra Vineyard located on the grounds of the 17th century Camaldolese Hermit Monastery to see the presentation and taste 5 different wines in the enotourism pavilion at the foot of the vineyard. Dinner at the local restaurant.

DAY 2 – Walking tour of Krakow Old Town with the impressive Market Square (UNESCO site) including entrance to St Mary’s Basilica. Lunch at the local restaurant and departure for Wrocław. Overnight in Wrocław.

DAY 3 – Half day tour of Wroclaw including Market Square with City Hall, Town Hall and Ostrów Tumski. After the tour drive to Topacz Castle for lunch and wine tasting. The history of the castle dates back to the 14th century. Today a complex of six buildings surrounded by 50-hectare grounds with a garden and a pond. The castle restaurant serves typical brasserie menu with International cuisine accents. Overnight in Wrocław.

DAY 4 – Departure for Zielona Góra – the town known for its winemaking tradition in Poland. Check-in at the hotel. Afternoon visit to the vineyard with wine tasting and lecture on wine making process. Overnight in Zielona Góra.

DAY 3 –  Tour of Zielona Góra including major historical sites: the preserved medieval Old Town with 13th-century Market Square, local churches and 15th-century Town Hall. After the tour, participation in the Wine Festival (the centre of the town turns into a big marketplace for the time of the festivities which begin on a first or second Saturday of September with a parade and symbolic ceremony when the Roman wine god Bacchus and his Maenads receive the keys to the town). Overnight in Zielona Góra.

DAY 4Oder River cruise – an opportunity to observe nature with many species of birds (e.g. herons and storks) and to admire vineyards on the slopes along the route. After the boat trip lunch at the local restaurant and time at leisure in the afternoon. Overnight in Zielona Góra.

DAY 5 –  Departure.

The history of the castle dates back to the 14th century. Today a complex of six buildings surrounded by 50-hectare grounds with a garden and a pond. The castle restaurant serves typical brasserie menu with International cuisine accents.
