RZESZÓW + TREKKING IN BIESZCZADY MOUNTAINS + LVIV

Rzeszów - Ustrzyki Górne - Lviv (Ukraine)- Rzeszów

DAY 3 – Drive for technical visit at Leżajsk Brewery producing one of the most popular brands of beer in Poland. We will learn about the technology of beer brewing from the very beginning of the brewery until the present day. Tasting of local beer allowed for students over 18 years old (younger students taste non-alcohol drink). Further on transfer to Łańcut to visit the Łańcut Castle which was originally built in the 16th century, reconstructed in the French Baroque style, surrounded by fortifications and a magnificent park.  It houses a museum of interiors, exhibitions of paintings, sculpture, china, tapestries and old furniture. A unique local site, attracting many visitors, is the Museum of Carriages, consisting of over fifty “britzkas”, chaises, hunter’s and mail-coaches. Overnight in Rzeszów.

DAY 4Transfer for trekking in Bieszczady Mountains– one of the purest natural environments in Poland, the mountains are surrounded on three sides by Slovakia and Ukraine. Before the trekking route, panoramic tour by coach along the part of so called “Grand Bieszczady Loop” to admire stunning mountain landscapes. Local mountain summits are called “Połonina”.  Your trekking route, reaching the mountain summit Połonina Caryńska, will start at Ustrzyki Górne, continue to Połonina Caryńska and end at Wetlina village. Overnight in Ustrzyki Górne or other place in the region of Bieszczady Mountains.

DAY 5 – Drive to Lesko town for technical visit at Photovoltaic Power Plant, located at the altitude of 740 m on the Żar Mountain, which makes it the highest installation of this type in Poland. Transfer to little town Nowosiółki to start a safari – an excursion in off-road cars combined with a hiking along less known routes to see the unique wild nature of Bieszczady. During the safari you get an opportunity to take photos of a bison, a deer, a lynx, a bear and a wolf in its natural surroundings. Overnight in Ustrzyki Górne or other place in the region of Bieszczady Mountains.

DAY 5Extension out of Poland to Lviv in Ukraine – the city which was and still remains an important part of the Polish historical and cultural tradition. Many traces of Polish heritage have been preserved in this beautiful city. City tour and visit of the Old Town, Powder Tower, Market Square with The Black Tenement House; the Łyczakowski Cemetery and the Eagles of Lviv. Return for an overnight in Rzeszów.

DAY 6 – Departure transfer to Rzeszów airport.

DAY 1Arrival in Rzeszów – the largest city in the south-eastern Poland considered a student city. Nowadays, thanks to the Podkarpackie Science and Technology Park it is also the center of new technologies. Evening tour to Rzeszów Old Town. Multimedia fountain show available at chosen time of the year. Overnight in Rzeszów.

DAY 2 – The city tour of Rzeszów – the Old Town with Main Market and Town Hall from the late 19th century, the Gothic Church of St. Stanislaw and Wojciech and remains of the old castle of Ligez family. We will also visit Old Town Synagogue from the turn of 17th century and New Town Synagogue, both reconstructed after World War II. Technical visit at ASSECO – the technology company, the largest provider of IT solutions in the Central and Eastern Europe, which operates in over 50 countries around the world and employs over 24 000 people. In the afternoon, meeting with Polish students of local high school or university. Depending on the field of study of the group participants, it can be possible to attend chosen class with local students. In the evening, time for socialising at one of the student clubs. Overnight in Rzeszów.
