Wieliczka Salt Mine is one of the European oldest enterprises in continuous operation since
the 13th century. Spread over nine levels, it has 300 km of galleries with works of art,
altars, and statues sculpted in the salt, making a fascinating pilgrimage into the past of
a major industrial undertaking. The tourist route is 3,5 kilometers long and leads through
many chambers and chapels. Saint Kinga’s Chapel is the most famous of all. The mine
hosts different events like concerts, New Year’s balls and banquets.
